HMEA’s Neurodiversity @ Work is a program designed to help highly skilled people with Autism and related unique challenges to overcome the barriers to obtaining competitive positions.
In 2022 Neurodiversity @ Work will have multiple Employment Partners hiring from the Neurodiverse workforce of applicants with experience in the technology field
N@W is committed to changing the way people think about Neurodiversity in the workplace and has experienced how this change provides real benefits for each Employment Partner through increased creativity and diversity of thought. N@W recognizes these unique individuals can have nontraditional career paths and experiences. Our collective goal is to help employers and applicants bridge the gap of a hiring process that does not identify these aptitudes and talents effectively. For the 2022 job opportunities, passion and potential are as important as experience and training; however, the expectation is that successful applicants would have some aptitude in the related areas below.
- Experience with technology
- Using data analytical methods
- Use of mathematics to solve complex problems
- Use of programming languages
- Web Development
- Software Development/Testing
- Hardware Design/Testing
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques/algorithms
