HMEA believes that people with disabilities can contribute to their communities through employment and service. HMEA places people with disabilities into gainful employment or volunteer positions with area businesses and civic organizations.

Through our various programs and services, HMEA provides people with disabilities exceptional vocational assessments and training, skill development and ongoing support.
At the same time, HMEA provides businesses and organizations American with Disabilities Act (ADA), tax-credit and diversity consultations. HMEA maintains open communications with businesses and organizations that hire from our pool of dependable and eager employees and volunteers.
Employment and volunteer options include:
Competitive Employment: you hire a person(s) to work in your company and HMEA provides ongoing support to workers — at no cost to you.
Enclave Supported Group Employment: HMEA will provide you a crew of workers to perform a job. These workers will be HMEA employees and you will be billed directly for the services they provide.
