Intensive Flexible Family Supports (IFFS) supports families undergoing incredible challenges as they care for a child or young adult (ages 3 – 22) with disabilities in their home. HMEA’s goal is to work together with the family to identify needs, build the family’s capacity and reduce the risk of out-of-home-placement. If the family is forced to consider out-of-home placement, IFFS provides intensive, focused and goal-oriented case management that supports the family for six to 12 months as they overcome these challenges.
Referrals are made by the local Department of Developmental Services (DDS) office for the Central MA region which consists of the following areas:
- Worcester
- North Central
- South Valley
