HMEA is proud to be co-sponsoring the upcoming Assistive Technology Conference of New England, to take place on Thursday November 20th, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick RI.
The conference is hosted by TechACCESS of RI, a Warwick RI-based program of HMEA, providing technology services to people with disabilities
As stated on the official website, “This conference is dedicated to technology, people with disabilities, families and professionals.”
This annual conference was established over 20 years ago to feature workshops, information and exhibits, all concentrated on emerging technologies that empower individuals with disabilities.
Hundreds of citizens from RI and the North East attend the conference to learn and collaborate on the uses of technology in education, communication, employment, recreation, home and independent living. This year’s 2014 conference offers 21 workshops all presented by AT experts from across the U.S.
One of the conference’s major highlights includes: Tablet Playground – an opportunity for attendees to see, use, explore and ask questions about the latest tablets and apps.
