Inclement Weather Guidelines
*This policy applies to HMEA transportation services, only. All other transportation companies (i.e., Travelors, Kiesling, MARK, GATRA) need to be contacted for holiday or inclement weather information.
From the HMEA transportation department:
In the event of inclement weather and the possibility of a delay or cancellation of transportation services the following notification procedure will take place. For morning transportation HMEA will make a decision to delay or cancel transportation by 6:15 am. This information will be available by calling the Inclement Weather Hotline (508) 505.7788 or our Franklin Administrative Office at (508) 298.1100 (press #5) You will hear a tape-recorded message, which will give you an update on HMEA transportation services for the morning. The message will give you information about the North Programs and the South Programs. This is done separately as the weather in Central and North Central Mass. can vary from Southeastern Mass. The programs identified as North verses South are listed below. We will no longer be communicating by television or radio. If transportation is delayed it also means the programs are delayed and asks that you don’t transport any people you support in before the delayed time.
