Sam has been attending HMEA’s employment services program since 2012, and has been working at Family Behavioral Health (FBH) since 2018. She was born in Michigan and currently lives in Worcester, MA with her shared living providers, Ashley and Randy, who have two children of their own, Noah (age 9) and Jensen (age 4).
Tell us about what you do at FBH.
I work as part of a team of people who are responsible for keeping the facilities clean. I clean bathrooms, including the toilets and sinks. I also clean light switches and door knobs, and I take out the trash, too.
What’s your favorite thing about working at FBH?
When I’m working at FBH, I know that I’m being productive and that I’m making a difference. I also really enjoy being around my coworkers every day, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to earn a paycheck.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love going to the water park, playing video games, and watching anime. My favorite video game is Harvest Moon, and my favorite TV show is Naruto. I also love eating ramen!
Who do you like to spend time with outside of work?
My brothers, Jensen and Noah. I also like spending time with my respite worker, Jenn. We like to go out to the movies and go out to eat. I also love spending time with my boyfriend, Mark.
Tell us about your boyfriend!
Mark and I met at HMEA Millbury and have been dating for a couple years. We love to go to Dairy Queen!
