People with disabilities do best when they live in homes that are designed for their unique interests and needs. Through HMEA’s Shared Living program, they develop strong, supportive and lasting relationships.
HMEA’s Shared Living program matches a person with a developmental disability to a Shared Living provider.
The provider may be a family, a couple or an individual. The match — and the relationship — between the person needing the support with the provider is handled with the utmost care and consideration. Providers offer support, assistance and companionship in return for a small stipend.
