Participate in the Central Massachusetts Autism Workforce Needs Assessment
In Central Massachusetts, HMEA is helping employers discover and capitalize on the “Autism Advantage.”
People with autism possess a unique — and valuable — set of skills that employers need to fill highly-specialized positions within their organizations. Through research, advocacy, education and training, HMEA helps employers create an environment where people with autism can add incredible value to their organizations.
Attend HMEA’s Autism Summit to learn:
- The valuable skills that people with autism possess and how they can benefit your organization and business.
- How to create an environment that allows people with autism to thrive and succeed.
- How to identify and provide the services and supports people with autism need for success — continuing education, training, employment and placement services, housing, transportation and learning life-skills.
The Central Massachusetts Autism Workforce Needs Assessment
HMEA, in partnership with Clark University, will conduct a comprehensive and community-wide assessment that identifies the challenges and opportunities for building and strengthening the Autism Advantage.
The assessment will survey people with autism, their families, and employers. The results of the assessment will identify the employment barriers facing adults with autism and the challenges employers face when hiring and leading people with autism.
The results of this groundbreaking assessment will be announced at the Autism Summit!
The Autism Summit is open to business leaders and employers of all sizes, human resource professionals, adults with autism and their family members, human services providers and agencies, special education professionals and elected officials and policy makers.
